World Kindness Day! #CTWorldKindnessDay

A few weeks ago, I was approached by the lovely people at the Cotton Traders company, about a campaign that they're running throughout November in conjunction with World Kindness Day. The aim is to encourage as many people as possible to commit some random acts of kindness! I think the guys over at Cotton Traders agreed with me when I said that acts of kindness seemed rare these days, and that they should definitely occur more often!
As you may or may not know, World Kindness Day was yesterday, on 13th November, so I couldn't do the post I had planned and been so excited to write! This was because I was waiting on a package, the package from the Cotton Traders and it was a Kindness Box, full of winter warmers to provide ultimate coziness.
This morning, I was delighted when there was a knock on the door and the post man handed over a very large brown box!
The box included lots of gorgeous goodies and I just turned into the love heart eyes emoji when I opened it. The first things that caught my eye were the reindeer socks, there was a red, blue and grey pair, and they're so soft!
The next thing I was drawn to was the gorgeous floral mug, when I opened the box I was so happy, because the mug is such a perfect size! As someone who loves hot drinks, but in small portions, this mug is so right for me.
After noticing the mug, I couldn't help but notice the hot chocolate spoon! This got me so excited, as I've never used or even seen one of these myself. The one I received is Caramel Bourbon flavoured and it looks delicious.
Along with the hot chocolate, I also received some lovely looking black and green tea, with flavours of Bergamot. I have to admit, I'm not usually a massive fan of green teas, but I'm definitely willing to give it a try, especially in my new mug!
And last but not least, underneath all of the other lovely treats, I discovered some huge cozy socks, along with a matching hot water bottle cover. (And a hot water bottle inside!) These last two gifts made me so happy, like the three-pack of socks, they were from the Cotton Traders themselves, and they feel such good quality, and I just know I will get so much use out of these products as I seem to get cold so quickly!
I also received a very sweet note in the package, which just talked about the aim of the whole campaign. One thing the Cotton Traders have asked is that I create my own random act of kindness, and suggested that this could be done by refilling the kindness box, and passing it on to a family member or friend. I think this is such a great idea, and my aim is to have filled the box with some goodies by the end of the month and pass it on to someone special.
Running along with this theme, yesterday was also Children in Need here in the UK, and whilst watching the incredibly touching stories I just had to donate. So last night, I donated £10 to Children in Need.
If you'd like to get involved with World Kindness Day, but you're unsure of what you can do, you could donate even just a small amount of money to a charity, such as Children in Need, or one that is close to you. Or, as I'm sure you're all aware of the heart breaking situation in Paris, you could donate to help those in need, I know I'll be donating some money to help when I get the chance! (Some ways you can help can be found here, and here.)
