Mole Story!
21:33:00Just before New Year, I had a chunk of skin carved out of my arm, and had it sent off to get tested. The chunk of skin had a mole, and the doctor decided it would be best to just cut it out and send it away, y'know what they say, better to be safe than sorry!
So I thought I would write this post incase anyone is having one out and doesn't know what to expect. (I'd never had any 'minor operations' like this before, so had no idea what it would be like, healing process etc.)
So basically, the numbing injection is the worst part, because it stings like a bitch, and after that you don't feel a thing. Until the injection wears off, and then it stings constantly for like 3 days.
The day after I had it done, I went back to get the dressing changed and had a smaller plaster put on. Which, it also turns out I'm allergic to plasters, lol.
Lovely stitches, my little sister described them as looking like a squashed spider. Charming.
After I had the stitches out, which was a very weird experience by the way, I was told to leave the steri-strips on until they fell off, just incase it 'pops open', which was the worst thing the nurse could have said to me.
I went back later that week because I was a bit worried about it and couldn't tell what was going on under the steri-strips. So the nurse took them off for me and put another plaster on, probably so I couldn't see it and panic again, just while it scabbed a bit more.
Yesterday I took the plaster off, and the scabs literally came straight off. Currently, I hate the scar, but I haven't had any scary letters from the doctors yet so that's good. I just want it to hurry up and heal so that I can get more tattoos.
Let me know in the comments if you've had anything similar, and your experiences!
