Rimmel | Wake Me Up Foundation

A while back I purchased Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation, I'd never tried it before and it had always been something I wanted to give a whirl, especially after seeing others such as Zoella raving about it.

I'd also heard that this foundation gives a very glittery look on the skin, I can safely say that this is true. This foundation is quite dewy, and on my oil-prone skin, it does get very shiny halfway through the day. However, I love the way this foundation looks on my skin when applied with my Beauty Blender. I feel that its a really good match for me, although it does oxidise slightly, which can be annoying. I also like the amount of coverage it gives, I'd say its medium coverage, and personally I wouldn't want to build it up, I'd rather use something heavier than layer this foundation. 


I don't notice any horrific creasing, and the staying power is good, although it would probably be better on less oily skin. With setting powder though its fab and it gives such a healthy look in comparison to Revlon's Colour Stay, which I felt was so drying and some days just made me look ill! I love the packaging of this, it feels solid and sturdy, and I love that it has a pump! 

Overall I would most definitely recommend this foundation for dryer and normal skin, for us oilier girls, this is still a good foundation, but you do need quite a bit of powder throughout the day to keep the oiliness at bay.

    I always wanted to try out this foundation as everyone is raving about it, but I just can't get my hands on it. They don't sell this one in my country as it is quite old collection :( And I have very oily skin as well, it is difficult to find a good foundation for me :) x

    Good Review! I was put off of trying this foundation because i bought the concealor and it was too orange for my skin tone.. but think I think the foundation may be perfect for me as I have dry skin x

    I have combination skin(oily and normal) yet absolutely love Wake Me Up foundation! I bought in the middle of October and since then have been using it almost every single day. Though I agree it looks much better with powder on. Stay Matte is my favourite one :) x
