19 Things That Give Me Serious Anxiety

23:30:00

I always seem to find the motivation to post when it's time to go to sleep. But hey ho, I figured I might as well post when I feel the urge, otherwise it'll never happen. And I want to post because I do actually want to not because I feel I have to. So here I am.

ft. some random pics from recently because I've been trying to think of photos for this post for so long and zero ideas have come to me.

We all have those little tasks in life that completely freak us out, and no matter how many times you do it, it never seems to get any better. I feel like everyone has social anxiety to some extent, and there will always be something we're scared to do. Some people are just better at ignoring that horrible feeling it gives and just getting on with it.

1. Answering the phone to unknown numbers

2. Answering the door to strangers

3. Asking for help in a shop

4. Booking appointments over the phone

5. The thought that I might possibly bump into someone awkward and it being... awkward

6. Speaking in front of people

7. Walking down the street alone and feeling like everyone wants to kidnap/rape/murder me (maybe I do watch too much Dexter...)

8. Ordering food over the phone and in restaurants

9. Trying to get the waitress/waiters attention omg this is one of the worst ones

10. Going somewhere unfamiliar and figuring out a way to get there, Google Mapping on street view to make sure its definitely the right place

11. Interviews

12. First days - new job, college, school, everything

13. The fear of tripping, or falling over completely in public

14. Being brave enough to wear that thing, until you're actually out of the house

15. Hoovering when there's no one home

16. Using the hairdryer when there's no one home

17. Having a shower/bath when there's no one home

18. Sleeping when there's no one home

(Can you tell I don't like it when there's no one home?)

19. Going to the toilet or to get a drink in the night, especially after watching a scary film

Let me know in the comments if you can relate to any of these or if its just me being daft!

  1. I get anxiety just hearing my phone ring - that's why it's on silent 90% of the time. I also have a fear of talking on the phone to anyone in general, I'm not sure where my fear of phones came from but it is so.

  2. I can relate to so many! These things like answering photo to unknown numbers, being alone in the dark, asking for a help in a shop and etc. give me so much anxiety! It's ridiculous at times.
